Remote Bags Check

SFO offers a complimentary Remote Bag Check service through Bags, Inc., allowing passengers to check in and drop their luggage before heading to the terminal. This service is available at the Long-Term Parking Garage (Level 5) and the SFO Car Rental center (Level 1 Hall). It is available for the passengers flying domestically with:-

    Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART)

    • Service: BART provides direct rail service from SFO to San Francisco, the East Bay, and northern San Mateo County.
    • Location: The SFO BART Station is in the International Terminal (G Gates side).
    • Accessibility: Accessible from all terminals via the free AirTrain (Garage G/BART stop).

    Caltrain

    Service: Caltrain connects San Francisco to San Jose, operating daily with weekday express trains.

    From SFO: Take BART to Millbrae Station and transfer to Caltrain.

    SamTrans Public Bus Service

    • Service: SamTrans provides 24/7 bus service from SFO.
    • Stops at SFO: Route 292 stops at the airport terminals. SamTrans Routes EPX & 142 serve the Rental Car Center (via AirTrain Blue Line).
    • Working Hours: 24/7. Late-night service available on Routes ECR Owl & 397.

    Airporters (Private Shuttle Services)

    Airporters are private shuttle buses operating on scheduled routes to surrounding counties. Currently, SFO Airport has these carriers:

    Taxis & Ride Shares

    Taxis depart from designated taxi zones located on the roadway center islands at the Arrivals/Baggage Claim Level of all terminals. Uniformed taxi coordinators are available daily from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. to assist passengers. If you want, you can also request an accessible taxi by speaking with the on-site taxi coordinator or by calling 1107 from any airport courtesy phone.

    If you want to book a taxi to or from SFO airport, note that Metered rates apply to all destinations. A $6.00 exit surcharge is added to all San Francisco taxicab meter fares for rides originating from San Francisco International Airport.

    Lyft/Uber/Wingz

    At the domestic terminals, all drop-offs for Lyft, Uber, and Wingz are at curbside on the Departures levels. Apart from this, Lyft & Uber pick-ups for domestic terminals on level 5 at every SFO terminal at:-
